About This Spot
Stepping into Sister Restaurant on Greenville Avenue feels like finding a welcome pause in the rhythm of Dallas life—a place that invites you to linger without hurry. The space hums with a quiet kind of warmth, where natural wood tones and soft lighting blend effortlessly with the low murmur of friendly conversation. It’s a setting that encourages connection, whether you arrive for a meaningful meal with close friends, a special occasion, or a relaxed weekday dinner.
The pace here is unforced and thoughtful, allowing each visit to unfold gently, like a conversation that stretches comfortably over shared plates and quietly considered wines. The staff embodies this warmth and attentiveness with their easygoing expertise, striking a balance between gracious service and genuine hospitality that makes you feel both cared for and at home. Recommendations feel personal, as if shared between neighbors rather than recited from a menu.
Dining at Sister is less about ticking items off a list and more about savoring the unexpected interplay of ingredients and textures—a vibrant dance on the palate. You might start with something charred and smoky that draws you deeper in or be tempted by the silky folds of ravioli kissed with a spicy Calabrian chili. There’s a quiet elegance in how the flavors grow and evolve throughout the meal, whether it’s the earthy richness of a Wagyu short rib or the fresh brightness of a green pasta with just-ripened tomatoes. And desserts provide a gentle, satisfying close—comforting without fuss, like a favorite memory made new.
What lingers most after leaving Sister isn’t just the complexity of the food, but the feeling that this is a place crafted for people to connect—to share stories, laughter, and moments that resist the rush of the everyday. It’s this careful blend of atmosphere, hospitality, and thoughtfully prepared food that quietly transforms a dinner here into something a little more memorable.

My friends and I ate here for my birthday, and it was amazing! I haven’t been to many nice restaurants like this, so it truly felt like a magical experience. The atmosphere was lovely. The service was wonderful—everyone was personable, kind, and attentive. We had great service with Leslie and Matt! Since we were just visiting, the staff gave us plenty of great local recommendations. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor. My favorites were the charred carrots, crusted redfish, and ricotta cheesecake! If I’m ever back in Dallas, I’ll definitely be coming here again!

From the first bite to the final moment, everything was exceptional. Incredible food selection, impeccable service, and an unforgettable experience. This wasn’t just a meal — it was an experience. Next-level food, elite service, and a menu that hits on every level. Every plate delivered. Every detail executed. Food, service, and experience — all 10/10. Best restaurant experience of my life !!!

We had a wonderful experience at Sister for a family dinner on New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was perfect for the occasion, and the service was excellent throughout the night. Every dish we ordered was a hit—the Grilled Cauliflower and Fried Eggplant were standout starters, and the Pesto Fusilli was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We also really appreciated the high-quality mocktails, which were creative and felt very celebratory. We finished with the Chocolate Custard Cake, and it was the perfect end to the meal. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a great meal with plenty of delicious options.

We made a reservation here as part of the Sapphire Exclusive Tables program on OpenTable and had no complaints. Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommend for either dinner date or a small group dining experience. Our waitress Brianna suggested family style ordering for our table of 5 and that's the way we did it!

We had a wonderful experience at Sister in Greenville, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We started with the Bengal potatoes and eggplant fries, and both were outstanding—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and incredibly fresh. The flavors were bold yet balanced, making them hard to stop snacking on. For the mains, we ordered a couple of pesto pastas with no meat, and they were exceptional. The pesto was vibrant and aromatic, with just the right amount of richness, and the pasta itself tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Even without meat, the dishes were deeply satisfying and full of flavor, which really speaks to the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen. Overall, everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and beautifully executed. Sister is a fantastic spot for vegetarians (and non-vegetarians alike) who appreciate high-quality food done right. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

I treated myself on a solo date here and had such an enjoyable experience! Leslie i believe was my waitresses name and she was great for my overall experience especially with it being my 1st time. I started off with the pear drink. I saw pictures online where it was accompanied with a dried pear which mine didn't have. It tasted good, was light on the alcohol imo and wasn't unforgettable. I ordered everything from each subsection of the menu. I started off with the INCREDIBLE focaccia. This thing was humungous, the olive oil which had an incredible olive flavor to it was divine!! I ordered their home made pasta which had a creamy sauce and pancetta. It was a little lukewarm but still enjoyable. I ordered a side of the potatoes, carrots and the wagyu short rib. The short rub is sous vide and cooked medium rate. However, my waiter graciously allowed me to order to medium which was much appreciated. The dish has a lot of flavors going on in the dish but the sour apple puree hit me by surprise. It was went well with the protein and I throughly enjoyed it. The accompanying salad was a little sweet for me but was still good! I loved the carrots which I thought was going to be really sweet with the apricots but everything was perfect. The potatoes had a lot of flavor profiles going on there as well. It was a lot for one person and pretty much every dish so please don't overdue it or go with people and share haha. Lastly, I ordered the lemon panna cotta without blueberry compote and the chocolate cake with espresso ice cream. That ICE CREAM WAS AMAZINGG. It was the most balanced ice cream, delicate in flavor, creamy and added the perfect sweetness to the cake. The panna cotta was an enjoyable texture but a little bit on the lemony side for me. I do wish the lemon flavor wasn't too forward but because I'm allergic to berries I can definitely see how the compote aids with the tartness. Service was top notch and I felt welcomed by my waitress who explained the menu well, listened to my allergies and was accommodating and even gave me a nice treat at the end of my meal which I greatly appreciated. Hostesses could be a little more friendly, they did look miserable and didn't acknowledge me when I came in and told them my name and reservation time. They simply looked away as if they didn't hear me and I waited over a min for one of the hostesses to grab a menu and seat me outside. I don't need a smile but simple acknowledgment would've been nice. The inconsistency with the pear drink and the panna cotta were factors into why my review wasn't a complete 5. Aside from this, if you haven't dined here, I would recommend. I came for a solo dinner date but it's also perfect for a birthday dinner, date night, girl's dinner or whatever occasion. I waited 3 years to try it and hitting myself for not going sooner. Texture is a big thing for me and I feel like they execute that well among the experience of eating food. It's an art, believe me lol. I could see this restaurant doing seasonal options with local or national flavors and that would be cool to see. I'll definitely be back!!
